because of his heightened senses, matt is able to perceive things about other characters. this includes knowing whether or not someone is lying by listening to their heartbeat, as well as knowing where someone has been or what they have eaten based on smell, etc. as a general rule, i tend to follow cues that are given in brackets/narration, and have matt react accordingly; i will not add anything beyond that unless we've discussed it.
